Spicy Hash Browns

Try this super easy recipe that shows you how to spice up your meal and treat yourself to this spicy and tasty breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbsp Maida
  • 4 tbsp grated cheese (optional)
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp grated garlic
  • 3 potatoes, peeled
  • 2 cups of water (ice-cold)
  • Salt as per taste
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4-5 tbsp oil

Method:

  • Shred the potatoes and rinse them well in ice-cold water.
  • Then drain and squeeze excess water from the potatoes.
  • Now take a bowl, beat an egg and add Maida, cheese, onion, garlic, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper and mix it.
  • Lastly, add the shredded potatoes and combine them well.
  • Now, in a frying pan heat the oil on medium flame and pour the potato mixture into the pan.
  • Gently press on the mixture so that it gets evenly spread.
  • Cook each side for 3 -4 minutes or until it gets crispy. 
  • Transfer it to a plate and serve hot!
