Aloo Chaat

A street food, which I tasted in South Delhi at Bangali Sweets. This is a sweet and savoury Indian easy snacks recipe. It has to be on your list when you organised a small get-together with friends or family or for kids. if you haven’t tried this already let’s join me to make this super tasty and mouth-watering Aloo Chaat. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1½ tsp dry mango powder 
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp fennel seeds
  • ¼ tsp carom seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 5 potatoes (boiled and cut into small cubes)
  • 4-5 tbsp oil
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves

  • In a frying pan, dry roast for 3-4 minutes all the species (black pepper, carom seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds).
  • Transfer the dry roasted spices to a plate and let it cool.
  • Now in a grinder jar add salt, sugar, dry mango powder and red chilli powder along with roasted spices.
  • Mix it well and grind it into a fine powder.
  • On other hand, heat oil in a pan and fry the potato cubes until they’re golden brown in colour.
  • Transfer it to a bowl and add chopped onion, grated ginger, chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice and masala powder.
  • Mix it well and serve.
