A street food, which I tasted in South Delhi at Bangali Sweets. This is a sweet and savoury Indian easy snacks recipe. It has to be on your list when you organised a small get-together with friends or family or for kids. if you haven’t tried this already let’s join me to make this super tasty and mouth-watering Aloo Chaat.
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1½ tsp dry mango powder
- 2 tsp red chilli powder
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 3 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tsp fennel seeds
- ¼ tsp carom seeds
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 5 potatoes (boiled and cut into small cubes)
- 4-5 tbsp oil
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
Method:
- In a frying pan, dry roast for 3-4 minutes all the species (black pepper, carom seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds).
- Transfer the dry roasted spices to a plate and let it cool.
- Now in a grinder jar add salt, sugar, dry mango powder and red chilli powder along with roasted spices.
- Mix it well and grind it into a fine powder.
- On other hand, heat oil in a pan and fry the potato cubes until they’re golden brown in colour.
- Transfer it to a bowl and add chopped onion, grated ginger, chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice and masala powder.
- Mix it well and serve.
